C'vahn was born in Doma and was expected to grow up to be a samurai, like his mother and his hrothgar grandfather. However, a tragic encounter with a group of drunken Garlean soldiers changed that when his mother was killed. Her death drove a rift between him and his father, ultimately leading to him stowing away on a ship bound for Eorzea. He was quickly discovered and offered a position as cabin boy on the crew of the notorious gentleman pirate known as Grandt the Gracious.For the next few years, he learned the ways of the high seas and about the world at large, coming to see the crew as his found family.Until the night of the mutiny.In the chaos, Grandt was apparently killed, and C'vahn was knocked out and captured. He was brought to Sastasha, where he was used as an "example" to keep the rest of the prisoners in line. He doesn't know how long he endured their torture, but one day, he snapped. He killed his tormentor with his own blade, then hunted down every single pirate in the mutinous crew, earning him the moniker "Sapphire Coeurl."For years after, he wandered the world, trading "favors" for gil and gil for ale. If it weren't for a chance encounter with a young au ra from Sui-no-Sato, he would never have left this path.Nowadays, he and his crew can be found anywhere they can take the ship, taking jobs ranging from shipping and smuggling contracts to monster culling and exploration jobs from the Adventurer's Guild. He has been enjoying exploring Tural and learning the customs of the xbr'aal.Skills
